The Julies premiere new single “Symmetry”

Shoved out of longstanding retirement status by a cult audience that was defiantly still vibing their signature ’90s EP release Lovelife, The Julies return more than two decades later with a new single, “Symmetry.” Anchored by the seismic guitars evocative of the ’90s they last occupied together as a band, “Symmetry” offers old fans a long-delayed glimpse of what could have been while welcoming newer fans into The Julies sound, which continues to mix influences from ’80s post-punk and new wave with ’90s shoegaze and indie rock.

The photos of Strip Cycle

Matt Wignall is responsible for some of the most iconic photos of Mike Knott during his photo shoots for the album Strip Cycle. Shooting (“recklessly” as he describes it) on infrared film, Matt captured these grainy high-contrast photos to complement the spontaneous acoustic sound of the record.

Lightning Love’s Blonde Album gets deluxe vinyl reissue

Lost in Ohio is reissuing the 2012 indie pop classic, on limited-edition pink & blue splatter vinyl. It is expanded to include track from the Girls Who Look Like Me EP. Blonde Album was mastered for vinyl by Christopher Colbert (Richard Swift, Pedro the Lion), with lacquers cut by Lex van Coeverden in the Netherlands. It begins shipping in April!
