Brooklyn’s Dead Leaf Echo have spent over a decade refining their unique blend of shoegaze, post-punk, and dream pop, crafting lush, cinematic soundscapes steeped in reverb-drenched guitars and hypnotic melodies. Helmed by LG Galleon (vocals, guitar) and rounded out by Steve Schwadron (bass) and Kevin Kahawai (drums, percussion), the band has drawn comparisons to the atmospheric grandeur of Spiritualized, Deftones, and The Cure.

Their latest album, The Mercy of Women, emerged from a pandemic-era recording process that stretched across several years, resulting in a collection of songs both immersive and immediate. Recorded at Studio G with Jeff Berner (Psychic TV, Shilpa Ray) and mixed by James Aparicio (Spiritualized, Depeche Mode), the album expands their signature sound while exploring themes of longing, belonging, and redemption. Tracks like "Call" and "Another Breath" deliver shimmering, layered guitars, while "Forgivination" leans into electronic textures and Depeche Mode-esque vocal stylings.

With a reputation for mesmerizing live performances and a catalog of deeply evocative music, Dead Leaf Echo continue to push the boundaries of shoegaze, proving that their sound is as timeless as it is transportive.
