Okay Lindon began as a solo vehicle for Middletown, Ohio songwriter Dustin Smith, and quickly developed into a full five-piece band. What followed was a three-album run — Everything in Moderation (2009), Rotating Dates (2010), and Everything Will Work Out Fine (2012), all mixed by Jason Martin of Starflyer 59 — that built a devoted following across the Midwest without ever quite getting the wider attention they deserved. Melodic, unhurried, and rooted in the kind of guitar rock that values a good song over a good angle, the band drew easy comparisons to bands like Pedro the Lion, Wussy, and The Frames.
The five-piece dissolved after their 2012 release, remaining quiet for over a decade. With a recently-announced reunion, they are quiet no longer.
